Accra to Kumasi Dualization (N6)

Messrs Arterial Toll Roads Company Ltd made a proposal to develop the Accra to Kumasi Highway (N6) as a public-private-partnership (PPP) with the government of Ghana. The project consists of the planning, design, development, financing, construction and operation of 240 KM dual carriageway toll road between the cities of Accra and Kumasi on a Build/Operate Transfer basis under a 30 year concession agreement with the Republic of Ghana. The project is the first of several planned toll roadways within Ghana undertaken under Public/Private Partnership agreement between ATRCL and the Republic of Ghana. The project was estimated at US$500,000,000.00. The company had to prepare designs as part of their offer

NKA was responsible for planning and traffic data collection along the entire road corridor involving:

• Traffic data: origin – destination surveys; traffic volume and classification counts
• Axle load surveys
• Road accident data

NKA ensured accurate data collection and analysis
