Construction Works for Takoradi Port Upgrade and Expansion

The project involved the construction of breakwater extension: 1.15Km, dredging to 16m chart datum, reclamation, construction of 800m quay wall with quay furniture, and bulk cargo handling berths for manganese, bauxite and clinker. These were to enable the port to safely take in modern, bigger and deep-drafted vessels, reduce ship turnaround time, and also provide service and logistics base for the oil field

NKA is in charge of construction supervision, certification of works, quality control and general management of the construction programme on behalf of the client in association with Messrs HPC of Germany

NKA ensured that quality standards were adhered to by the contractor
